Nurse Practitioners (NPs) provide comprehensive clinical care including diagnosis and medical management of acute and chronic illness for patients across the lifespan. NPs practice with a lens of disease prevention, care coordination, relationship building, and community development.
Practice settings are diverse and include acute care, primary care, long term care, and rural and remote settings.
NPs hold Masters or Doctorate degree with educational preparation that in addition to clinical care, includes leadership, change management, health policy and program development.
