The Continuing Education and Professional Development Education Fund Committee (CEPDEFC) was established as a standing Committee to organize and coordinate ongoing education activities for members of the Department of Nurse Practitioners (DONP) at Providence Health Care (PHC). The Committee is also responsible for the administration, policy development, and distribution of the Professional Development Education (PDE) funds for PHC employed NPs.

Nurse Practitioner CONTINUING EDUCATION FUNDING

How to apply:

1.     Fill out the Continuing Professional Development Education Funding Application Form and the appropriate PHC expense form (s) and email them to the Continuing Education and Professional Development Education Funds Committee: PHC_NPeducation@providencehealth.bc.ca 

2.     The forms will be reviewed by the committee and an email of approval or a request for more information will be sent.

3.     All paper and e-receipts must be emailed in a word or PDF format.

Nurse Practitioner OriENTATION

This online learning module is required for all new Nurse Practitioners, and is designed to provide an introduction to the Nurse Practitioner role at PHC. The orientation focuses on the NP governance structure, clinical learning and support systems, infrastructure supports and professional resources for NP practice.

Staff must complete all sections of this orientation package and return completed certificate(s) to the Nurse Practitioner Department Head within 90 days of hire.
